Kathy's 9th Annual Tube for the Cause
40,970 women died in 2006 from this disease.
This website will give you up to date information on the actual event, how to contribute, ways to better donate to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and provide memories of Kathy Burke and friends.
Below lists important information on the upcoming events and to the left hand side on the menu bar there are various links to different ways to donate, pictures, and much more!
Don't forget wetpaint.com let's you contribute to the website by using the easy edit button. Sign in to a free username before you do any editing and everyone who is connected to the site receives an email about the update. You're even able to name your edit.

Make sure you tell them you are with our event to not have to
pay to park.
(Breast cancer is the leading cancer among white and African American women. African American women are more likely to die from this disease.)
How much?
$20.00 total to tube
$10.00 goes to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
$10.00 goes to your tube and a lunch provided on the river
which includes a hot dog/hamburger, chips/candy, drink
Why?
Everyone plans on tubing down the Delaware but never gets
around to it with friends. Now is your chance to relax, tan, and have a great time all for a great cause
and in memory of my mom.
Who?
Everyone. When I say everyone I'm talking everyone from yo' mama's best friend to your second cousin's best friend's boyfriend.
(Breast cancer incidence in women has increased from one in 20 in 1960 to one in eight today)

On behalf of the Lehigh Valley Tubing Alliance (LVTA), I would like to give many thanks to those of you who worked so hard to make this fantastic event possible. This was the first year we heard about the event, but can guarantee it won't be our only appearance. Thanks so much again, we all had such a good time tubing for the cause. Can't wait 'til next year!

I hate to sound like a debbie downer - but are there any vegetarian options offered for the lunch? If not, are there other alternatives or should I bring a floating cooler :-p
